     En Route Highlights:

    • Chungthang Confluence – A sacred spot where the Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu rivers merge to form the mighty Teesta.

    • Vimnala Waterfall – A scenic stop where glacial waters tumble dramatically down a cliffside.

    This alpine sanctuary is home to blooming rhododendrons (seasonal: April–May), lush meadows, and snowy peaks. Visit the natural hot spring, known for its therapeutic properties, and soak in the surreal surroundings.

    Return to Lachung for lunch at the hotel.

    For travelers wanting to go even further off the beaten path, take an extended drive from Yumthang (approx. 30 km | 1.5 hrs) to Yumesamdong, popularly known as Zero Point. This is where the road ends, just short of the Tibet border.

    Marvel at snow-covered landscapes (often year-round), glacial streams, and wide valleys unlike anywhere else in India.

     Return to Lachung by afternoon. Evening free for a stroll through the charming village or along the riverbanks.

     

    Lachung to Gangtok (125 km | Approx. 5 hrs)

    After breakfast the next morning (Day 10), check out from Lachung and drive back to Gangtok, retracing your scenic route via Chungthang. Arrive by late afternoon and check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Gangtok
